Best Dressed this Month: Alia Bhatt ,Jahnvi kapoor,B4U Fashion
Janhvi Kapoor’s floral dress is anything but basic
She may be a new face in Bollywood, but when it comes to standing out with her sartorial choices, Janhvi Kapoor already knows what she’s doing. Over the past few months, we’ve seen the 21-year-old celebrate Sonam K Ahuja’s wedding in that pink and blue Manish Malhotra lehenga, spend weekends in a cool collection of easy-breezy crop tops, and even show us a more demure side to her personality in brocade saris. Now that Janhvi Kapoor’s calendar is full of promotional commitments for Dhadak, the actor has been favouring feminine anarkalis and breezy Indo-western dresses that channel the personality of her on-screen avatar, Parthavi.
Most recently, however, Kapoor gave Indian ethnic looks a little break, and stepped out to promote her debut film in a dress that will have you dreaming of spring afternoons. The peplum Prabal Gurung creation was completely covered in a vibrant pattern of pink, yellow and blue flowers, and featured ruffles along with skirt’s slit for an added touch of drama. Janhvi Kapoor wore the sleeveless number with a pair of pristine white heels, and given the fact that her dress featured such a strong print, kept things simple in the accessories department, wearing her Gurung with minimal earrings and simple rings. Glossy lips and her favourite hairstyle, loose waves, completed her look.
For her second outing on the same day, Kapoor came back to traditional looks. The budding star wore the same white heels with a royal blue lehenga skirt and white choli, and pulled her locks back into a high ponytail. If you love Indian ethnic accessories, you just cannot miss her silver jhumkas, or that stack of gold cuffs.
Ever since Anushka Sharma tied the knot with Virat Kohli in Tuscany last year, pastel festive wear has become a favourite with Bollywood stars. Neha Dhupia picked a blush pink Anita Dongre for her Anand Karaj ceremony, Sonam K Ahuja was seen in a baby pink Anamika Khanna look after her wedding this May, Shloka Mehta was spotted in the romantic hue at two of her engagement functions, and most recently, Alia Bhatt stepped out in a soft pink Indian ethnic look as well. If you’ve never invested in a sorbet-hued wedding-ready look, this OOTD may just push towards doing so.
From Highway to Udta Punjab, Alia Bhatt has been part of some very hard-hitting Bollywood movies. And the actor’s latest project, Raazi, helped seal her spot amongst the Indian film industry’s strongest contenders this year. In fact, Bhatt’s performance in the spy thriller film was so impressive, it earned her an award this weekend. Alia Bhatt joined the likes of Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar and Arjun Kapoor at the Navbharat Times Utsav 2018 to pick up her Best Actress Award for Raazi. “The kind of love and appreciation the film has received, nothing beats that,” Bhatt revealed at the event. “Raazi was based on a true story so we were very emotional with the release of the film. Now [that] it has been fully accepted and loved, I feel very relieved.”
For the occasion, Alia Bhatt skipped on evening gowns for a traditional look in a pretty shade of pink. Bhatt’s pick for the evening was a Manish Malhotra anarkali featuring three-quarter sleeves, and embroidered with delicate little flowers in gold. The actor wore the outfit with a matching sheer dupatta, and added chunky jhumkas to her look. A hint of blush and soft waves completed her look for the evening.
